Leading Veterinary Surgeons and Suite
At East Lawn Animal Hospital, we boast a state-of-the-art surgery room that includes the latest anesthetic equipment and patient monitoring devices. Our veterinarians strictly adhere to the best levels of care for your pet, regardless of the procedure. Pain management is our top priority during and after surgery.
Most all surgeries are now performed using a surgical laser. This reduces the amount of bleeding from surgery, reduces the amount of pain post-surgery & reduces healing time – getting your pet back to their normal selves faster.

What happens prior to surgery?
Before surgery begins, we will give your pet a complete physical examination, including lab tests when indicated. Starting at 8 years of age, we require blood work to be done, which checks the liver and kidney function. This ensures that your pet is strong enough and capable of handling surgery and anesthesia, which is then tailored to your pet’s needs.
