What happens prior to surgery?
Before surgery begins, we will give your pet a complete physical examination, including lab tests when indicated. Starting at 8 years of age, we require blood work to be done, which checks the liver and kidney function. This ensures that your pet is strong enough and capable of handling surgery and anesthesia, which is then tailored to your pet’s needs.
