Honoring a Legacy of Care: Dr. Mike Bottorff
A Legacy of Compassionate Care
Dr. Bottorff’s passion for veterinary medicine began at an early age. Growing up, he worked alongside his father in their small-town veterinary clinic, where he learned the value of hard work, personal relationships, and caring for every patient as if they were family.
After graduating from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978, Dr. Bottorff continued developing his skills at a large referral hospital in Florida. He later returned to Fort Dodge to build a practice of his own, bringing together advanced veterinary knowledge and the trusted, personal care he had valued since childhood.
What began as a family dream grew into a thriving veterinary practice committed to serving generations of pets and their families. As East Lawn Animal Hospital has evolved, our dedication to compassionate care, medical excellence, and meaningful client relationships has remained at the heart of everything we do.
Today, we are proud to carry Dr. Bottorff’s vision forward. We honor the foundation on which East Lawn Animal Hospital was built while continuing to grow, advance, and prepare for the future of veterinary medicine.
We are grateful for where our story began, proud of the legacy we continue, and excited for the chapters still to come.
